Be aware that if your Canon camera fails within the first year of ownership, you may be charged $109, ("Flat rate repair charge, shipping") to get your camera repaired. If you are talking about a $200 camera, would you pay that? If you are deciding between two different brands, factor this in.

Excellent camera for point and shoot opportunities. Initial on time is great and time between pictures is adequate. In movie mode, make sure lighting is good as the camera requires this. Judge your exposure by the display on the LCD screen. If it looks dark the movie will be the same. Has enough features to satisfy the average camera user. Flash capture does not reach very far and you will be able to determine the range after a couple of "not so good" shots. This camera is "Just right" for size and takes pictures that exceeded my expectations. Very long battery life. I purchased a second battery just in case but have not had to rely on it on any occasion. Works with a Transcend 16MB SDHC card. Enclosed software loads up the computer with many titles and most are not used by me to date. Maybe I will be able to use them as more pictures are taken and get a "feel" for all that can be performed by the software. Great buy at $150.00. Super buy if price falls below that amount.

Great product. I dont know about the price (better here then anywhere else I found it) but it sure does what its suppose to do. The picture quality is pretty good and the different parts of the camera is decently sturdy. Have had bad experiences with other cameras that fall apart on me because of bad engineering of the parts such as the zoom feature, the button used for taking the picture and the lens. I like this product overall.

Nice little camera. Takes decent pictures. But the flash is anemic (dont use it for subjects more than 8 feet away) and doesnt like to be turned off. In fact, there doesnt appear to be a way to keep the flash off when using the camera in automatic mode. Each time you turn the camera on, it defaults to auto-flash (which usually produces poorly exposes pictures), so unless you remember to manually turn the flash off each time, youll waste battery and get bad pix. The only way to override this is to set the camera to manual mode, where the flash-off setting will remain fixed until you turn the flash on. Really annoying. Otherwise, a very nice camera.
